Mr. Kenneth Collett "Peck" Crago
Mr. Kenneth Collett "Peck" Crago, 87, of Nitro, died Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2001, in Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation Center, Hurricane.
Mr. Crago was a resident of Nitro since 1947. He was a 1934 graduate of Poca High School and was retired from Tag Galyean Chevrolet Body Shop. He had also previously worked at other car dealerships in the Kanawha Valley. Mr. Crago was an Army veteran, having served in Europe in World War II, a member of the St. Albans American Legion Post No. 73, and was just recently the recipient of the Jubilee of Liberty Medal and the "Thank You America" certificate from the people of France for his service in World War II. He attended the West Virginia Home Mission in Nitro.
Mr. Crago is survived by his wife, Mary Daugherty Crago; two brothers, Dewey L. Crago of Nitro and Paul E. Crago of Liberty; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be conducted noon Saturday, Dec. 15, 2001, at Gatens Funeral Home, Poca. Entombment will be in Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum, South Charleston.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
The family requests that flowers please be omitted.
