JOHN MADISON CRAGO (JAMES, GEORGE) was born 01 May 1861, and died 09 December 1917.  He married MARY ELIZABETH SCOTT 19 September 1880 in Putnam Co, WV.  She was born 04 January 1858, and died 17 June 1940.

Children of JOHN CRAGO and MARY SCOTT are:

i. ALMA CRAGO, b. 20 Sept. 1899, Putnam Co. WV; d. 27 March 1972; m. BENJAMIN FRANKLIN KING.         

ii. JAMES ALLEN CRAGO, b. 04 May 1881, Putnam Co. WV; d. 1941.        

iii. CHARLES MCKEE CRAIGO, b. 09 June 1882, Putnam Co. WV; d. 1941.,

iv. LAWRENCE ELDRIDGE CRAGO, b. 03 October 1884, Paradise, Putnam County, W.Va.; d. April 1970; m. FAYNE OLDER.

v. SUSAN BELL CRAGO, b. 9  February 1886, Putnam Co, W.Va.; d. 1961; m. LETCHER BLAINE CASTO.

vi. MARY BERTHA CRAGO, b. Abt. July 1887; d. 1971.

The late Kenneth Collett Crago claimed that Mary Elizabeth Scott was a niece of Susan Jane Scott,

the wife of James Crago.
