
KERSEY, Mrs. Fanny E. – 54, of Red House
Putnam County, died yesterday in a
Charleston hospital of a long illness.
She was a member of Antioch Misson-
ary Baptist Church. Surviving are her
husband, Homer Kersey: a son, Clar-
ence Arlie Kersey of Red House; five
daughters, Mrs. Wilma Wandling of Rob-
ertsburg, Mrs. Ruby Rutan of Red
House, and Misses Olesta, Maxine and
Darlena, all at home: a step-son, Clar-
ence Herschel Kersey of Red House; a
step-daughter, Mrs. Agatha Grady of
Nitro; three brothers, Herbert Higgin-
botham and C. Otis Higginbotham, both
of Red House; four sisters, Mrs. Lennie
Craig of St. Albans. Mrs. May Bragg
and Mrs.Carrie Trador, both of Red
House and Mrs. Bertie Wolfe of Poca;
and 11 grandchildren. The body is at
Gatens Mortuary but will be taken to
The residence at 3 p. m. today.
