Clarence R. Craigo Sr.
Clarence Ray Craigo Sr., 66, of Belle died Feb. 23, 1996, at St. Francis Hospital, Charleston.
He was a Putnam County native and lived most of his life in Kanawha County. He was a coal miner from Union Carbide Mines, Sanderson, where he served on the Mine Committee for Health and Safety. He was a member of the UMW and was a Baptist.
Surviving: wife, Betty J. Breeden Craigo; son, Clarence Ray Jr. of Julian; daughters, Gloria Arthur of South Charleston, Pamela Gore of Elkview, Donna Gay of Belle; sisters, Juanita Stevens of Ward, Sylvia Dunford and Phyllis Short, both of Belle; eight grandchildren.
Clarence Ray Craigo Sr. Service will be 1 p.m. Monday at Cooke Funeral Home, Cedar Grove, with the Rev. Gary Tucker officiating. Burial will be in Ward Cemetery, Ward. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
