Arnie Day Craigo
Arnie Day Craigo. 82, of Route 1, Poca, died May 27, 1989, at home after a long illness. He was a native of Putnam County, a former coal miner and a retired pipefitter for Monsanto Chemical Co. with 28 years' service. He was a member of Painter Bethel Community Church, Poca. He was a former elder and choir director for Raymond City Church and also a former choir director for Hometown Church of God Mission. Surviving: wife, Naomi Gibson Craigo; daughters, Louanna Allen of Dunbar and Sharon Leighton of Clendenin; sons, Edsel at home, Denzil of Poca, Dale of St. Albans and Oshel of Hurricane; sisters, Juanita Craigo of Dunbar, Etta McCutcheon of St. Albans; brother, Herbert of South Charleston; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great=granddaughter. Service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Gatens Funeral Home, Poca, with the Rev. John McCoy and the Rev. Robert Lett officiating. Burial will be in Haven of Rest Memorial Gardens, Red House. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Painter Bethel Community Church, P.O. Box 38, Poca, W. Va. 25259
